A couple years ago I made this Jan Brett unit. I updated it last year with some new clip art. I love this unit, mostly because Jan Brett is easily one of my favorite authors. I can read her books all day long. When I first started reading her books to my class years ago, I found that her books were perfect for teaching so many skills. i think every teacher loves Jan Brett, but so do my students. They can spot Jan Brett art in a heartbeat as it is so unique. I love all of her books, but my favorite character is Hedgie. My kids love the stuffed Hedgie. But, the Mitten is also right up there at the top.
