Bear Books (by Karma Wilson) graphic organizers

I LOVE the Bear series by Karma Wilson. I read them to my son and to my first graders and they both love the stories just as much as I do! Reading these books present so many teachable moments. I always find myself thinking of a lesson I could teach when I read each book, so I decided to put them all together. In this book series study, you will find graphic organizers for five different books in this series.

Here is a freebie from the packet.

to go with this book:

and here's another...

(There is a version of this specific to one of the books, but I thought I'd post this generic one so you could use it with any book.)

And below is a preview of the packet:

Skills covered:
  • cause and effect
  • making connections
  • sequencing
  • retelling story slide
  • vocabulary

In case you are a newish follower, make sure you check out an older post from last year about bears. There are several ideas and freebies to go along with a bear unit.

And if you haven't already, you should definitely check out Rachelle's bear unit at What the Teacher Wants. It is SO good, worth every penny! She is so creative.
